Bus Accident Takes Place in Downtown L.A.

A bus accident in downtown Los Angeles injured ten people last week in a crash involving two other vehicles. The accident occurred near Alameda and 1st streets around 8:30 AM. Members of the Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to the scene where some of the injured were treated, while others were taken to area hospitals. Department spokesman Erik Scott believes that the number of injured may rise in the next few days, however.

The bus involved was a mini-bus carrying passengers from the First Chinese Baptist Church. Of those ten people hurt four were considered to be seriously injured while five more were deemed as having non-life-threatening injuries. A total of 38 firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident in the Little Tokyo area.

Although they aren't common, when a bus accident occurs, it can leave many people injured.
