Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Metrolink

Officials are investigating the case of a pedestrian that was hit and killed by a Metrolink train on Monday. Just after 5 PM as the train was passing through the intersection of 8th Street and N. Euclid Avenue the train instantly killed the pedestrian.

The tracks, which are heavily traveled in that section of Upland, were shut down for hours as detectives and coroner's officials came in to investigate the accident. Passengers were taken away by buses brought in by Metrolink.

Nobody is sure yet of why the pedestrian was on the tracks to begin with.
