83 Year Old Survives Awful Auto Accident
In Glendale, CA, an 83-year-old man survived a unique and terrible car accident after his SUV sped through his upper level condominium parking garage, fell two stories and collided with the road.
Reports claim that the accident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. at the man's Glendale condominium building. The man's Range rover apparently sped through the parking structure's concrete barrier and wound up upside-down on the road below following the collision with the concrete.
Emergency responders said the man was alert while being attended to, despite the violent crash. He is being treated at USC Medical Center in Los Angeles County for head trauma and a back injury.
It's speculated that the crash may have been caused by accidentally pressing the accelerator instead of the break. This is not the first incident to happen at the parking structure. Security personnel at the parking garage claim that a couple of years ago a resident drove through a steel gate and another drove through a wall at the structure.
