Julia Lewis Invovled in Auto Accident

This week, police have confirmed 37-year-old actress Julia Lewis was involved in a car accident.

Allegedly, the driver of the second vehicle ran a red light, crashed into Lewis' car and continued to drive without stopping.  Police say that the second vehicle was found a short distance away from the scene of the accident, but the driver had fled.

Lewis had to be taken to a local hospital after complaints of pain in her head, neck and back, but she was allowed to return home shortly after.

Her representative, Carleen Donovan, released a statement reassuring fans that Lewis was recovering from her injuries just fine.  She said, "Ms Lewis … is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise thankfully okay. She is now resting at home."

Officers say the driver of the other vehicle is facing charges of hit and run.
