Pedestrian Accident Occurs at Halloween Event

A 15-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident involving a trailer during a Halloween-themed event, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.  The teenager was accidentally run over by the trailer that was being towed by a pick-up truck at William S. Hart Park in Old Town Newhall.

The pedestrian accident occurred in the Heritage Haunt Hayride of Nightmares, the longest and largest hayride in Los Angeles County.  Witnesses and reports indicate that the teenager, while playing a character for the hayride, was attempting to entertain attendees in the trailer when he slipped, fell, and was subsequently run over.

The victim sustained significant injuries and was treated at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.  He is currently listed in stable condition.
