Truck Accident on "Dead Man's Curve" Kills Driver
Police say that one man is dead following a Monday morning trucking accident outside of Fayette County. At approximately 9:00 AM, a call was received by the Fayette County EOC reporting that a single vehicle accident took place in an area that is known as "dead man's curve".
At the scene of the accident, police pronounced 45 year old Marshall Spinks Jr. dead.

It is believed that the victim turned into the sharp curve and suddenly lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle ran off the side of the road and then plummeted down a 40 foot embankment. Officers also state that the truck appeared to have flipped and was severely damaged.
Police plan to continue investigations, which will last several weeks and say that they hope to gather further insight into what may have caused the accident. Spinks was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.
