Bike Accident Victim Suffers TBI
Sad news for the family and friends of Nathan Krasnopoler: doctors have "no hope for meaningful recover" after he suffered a traumatic brain injury.
The 20-year-old Johns Hopkins student was riding his bicycle on University Parkway when he was hit by a car driven by an 83-year-old woman. He has been in a coma since the accident and, although the doctors were somewhat optimistic at first, they regretfully informed the parents of the worsened condition since then.
Not taking the accident lightly, the family filed suit against the driver, Jeanette Marie Walker, on the basis that she violated several traffic laws. Since their son was lawfully riding in the bicycle lane, Walker is fully to blame for the death of their son. In addition to having his lungs collapse, Nathan suffered third- and fourth-degree burns on his torso and face, bone fractures, bruises and cuts.
Although his heart reportedly stopped in the ambulance, emergency personnel were able to revive him.
