Man Almost Killed in Drunk Driving Accident
A drunk driving accident in Colorado Springs nearly took the life of one man early Saturday morning.
According to investigators with the Colorado Springs police department, 30-year-old Jason Warren has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. His passenger, Patrick Warren, 25, was transported to an area hospital with a suspected broken hip. The two were driving on Interstate 25 when the older Warren, who was driving, plowed his 1979 Honda Accord into the back of a 2003 Ford F250.
The Ford had been stopped on the side of the road to help a pedestrian on the roadway. Luckily, neither the driver of the Ford, 26-year-old Ryan Kelly, nor the pedestrian, 26-year-old Matthew Munoz, were injured in the car accident. However, police did ticket Munoz for walking on the interstate.
