Toddler Loses Life during Pedestrian Accident

When it comes to driving around Los Angeles, California, traffic can be a nightmare. But, in the case of one local area last week, a driver caused a serious accident that shut down the block for hours.

When officers with the police department arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle parked on the sidewalk. After speaking with several witnesses, they learned that the driver was trying to parallel park when he lost control of his car. He careened into the corner of two streets where an event was being held and directly into the path of a young mother and her 2-month-old son.

It has been reported that officers did not administer a breathalyzer at the scene. Since the driver showed no signs of intoxication, they had no reason to question his sobriety. However, police say that does not mean that he will not face criminal charges in the future for the pedestrian accident as the baby lost his life.

Anytime people have sustained injuries from vehicles while walking on streets, sidewalks or parking lots, they should contact a Los Angeles pedestrian accident attorney from our office who can advise them of their rights and help them take appropriate legal measures.
