18-Wheeler Accident Slows Traffic

Motorists in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last week were treated to an extra-long commute thanks to a truck accident involving an 18-wheeler.

The truck was traveling down a state highway when the driver lost control of his rig. It swerved across the road and overturned, unloading some of its load on the roadway. Although road crews were quickly dispatched to the scene of the truck accident, traffic was delayed for at least thirty miles while the accident was cleaned up.

While drivers were expecting some traffic in the post-Thanksgiving rush to get back home, they were not expecting to sit for hours like they did last Friday. The Louisiana State Police was called in to try and redirect traffic and help clear the roadway of the spilled cucumbers.

Luckily, there were no serious injuries reported in the accident.
