Dog Detained for Biting Posal Worker

Think that a postal worker getting bitten by dogs is a joke? Think again. One dog is in quarantine in Texas for ten days for biting a postal worker.

According to the police report, the letter carrier was working in north Houston when the two dogs jumped a fence and ran towards her. At least one of the dogs bit her leg. She received three bites that needed seven stitches. A witness to the dog bite incident brought the letter carrier to the home of the dog owner and called police in the process.

When officers arrived on the scene they spoke with the owner and explained that the dog had to be quarantined. It is uncertain whether the second animal will be quarantined as well. If the dog is deemed to be healthy and the postal worker does not want to press charges, the dog could be released to the owner after the quarantine period is complete.

If you were bitten by a dog, contact the Law Offices of Gerald L. Marcus now to speak with a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer. As a dog attack victim, you have rights and can hold the dog owner accountable.
