U.S. Coast Guard Stops Search for Boat Accident Victim

The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for a man that has gone missing after his boat capsized near Sandy Point. Police are still investigating what caused the accident since the other victims either died or are suffering from hypothermia.

The 25-year-old man is believed to be dead after the Coast Guard searched over 62 square miles of waterway last week. The CG was joined by several other agencies in searching for the young man. The man was out on a sailboat with a 40-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman when the boat overturned. All three passengers were dumped into the icy waterways to fend for themselves.

The only survivor of the boating accident is the woman who is being treated for hypothermia. Even though all three people were wearing life jackets at the time, the two men did not survive.
