Costco To Battle Slip and Fall Lawsuit

After Wal-Mart was hit with a spat of slip and fall lawsuits now Costco will battle their own. A woman claiming to have slipped and fallen at the Costco in Spring Valley is seeking damages and court costs for her injuries.

Mary Joseph-Alvaredo filed her lawsuit on Valentine's Day in the Harris County District Court against Costco Wholesale Corp and Jim Smith. She states that on Valentine's Day of the year before she fell while walking into the Costco store located at 1150 Bunker Hill road. Since the defendants failed to protect her from the dangerous conditions at their store, the slippery ground surface, Joseph-Alvarado is blaming them for her injuries.
