Family Devastated After Swimming Pool Accident

Parents must be extra careful of their younger children around pools to prevent an accident like the one that scared one family in Spring Hill. Although 16-month-old Nicholas Harris was quickly rescued from the family's swimming pool, he still remains hospitalized.

According to Hernando County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sgt. Donna Black, the child was brought by emergency personnel to Spring Hill Regional Hospital in critical condition. The near-drowning occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the home on Corinthian Street.

Although police believe that the swimming pool accident was just that, an accident, there is still an open investigation to ensure there is no blame to be placed.

During the warmer months children are more likely to play around pools, increasing their chances of having a swimming pool accident. If one of your children was recently injured in a swimming pool accident that was neither your nor their fault, take the time to contact our law firm and speak with a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer.
