Walmart Facing Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Infamous retail giant, Wal-Mart, is facing a lawsuit. The company has been named in a claim  for the wrongful death of a 44-year-old father and 25-year-old mother.

They aren't the only ones, however, being blamed for the fire that caused the deaths of Ramiro Hinojosa and Lorena Ramos. While Wal-Mart is being sued for the defective heater sold at their store, the Walnut Creek Apartments is also listed for failing to maintain a smoke detector in the couple's apartment. As a result Ramos and Hinojosa were killed in their sleep by smoke and carbon monoxide inhalation.

The lawsuit was filed by Norma Hinojosa on behalf of the estate of Ramiro Hinojosa. She is alleging negligence and gross negligence while asking for exemplary, actual and punitive damages, in addition to court costs.
