Young Driver Causes Pedestrian Accident
A father teaching his daughter how to drive got more than he bargained for last weekend when she caused a serious pedestrian accident.
Police reports show that the teenage girl was behind the wheel, with her father in the passenger seat. Rather than stopping, she went through a gate and into a parking lot, hitting three pedestrians who were standing near a taco stand. Panicked by the accident, the girl then got out of the car and attempted to run away from the accident scene.
To make matters worse, the father than assumed the driver's position and left the scene of the crash. However, a witness to the accident followed the father, prompting him to return to the scene. The young girl is expected to be charged with felony hit and run; no word yet on how the father will be charged.
