Hit and Run Suspect Attempts to Evade Capture

In an attempt to elude police after involving himself in a hit and run accident, the driver attempted to board a Metro bus on Sunday.

The suspect is believed to have been driving westbound on 7th Street with he collided with a black Toyota Prius heading south on Alvarado Street. According to Los Angeles Police Sgt. Gregory Hoyte one of the drivers is believed to have run the red light, but at this time it is still uncertain as to which vehicle was responsible.

However, the one suspect exited his vehicle, avoided contact with the other car, and was seen boarding a nearby Metro bus. Although it may have seemed strange to onlookers Hoyte was not too surprised, commenting that "it's odd but it has happened in the past. People generally flee whatever way they can."

Luckily for the Prius occupants nobody suffered serious injuries, and all were brought to local hospitals in stable condition.
