Woman Steals Tow Truck and Causes Collision

A truck accident turned seriously bizarre when a woman took away with the tow truck that was intended for her own car.

According to Los Angeles police Lt. Wayne Lightfoot the woman took off with the truck as the driver was attempting to hook up her car. The man then got into the woman's vehicle and attempted to chase her; however, the tow truck driver caused an accident at Vermont and Vernon avenues as he was in pursuit of his truck.

For some reason the woman then pulled off the highway and jumped out of the truck, even though it was still moving. Police quickly tracked down the woman from the description given by the two truck driver: tight, black, belly-baring shirt and spandex shorts. She was still running and had to be tackled down to the ground on the southbound 5 Freeway.

The identity of the woman has yet to be released "because she was unable to provide it, severely mentally impaired or under the influence."
