Man Consumed 8 Beers Prior to Boat Accident
A man that admitted to having at least eight beers on the same day that he caused a fatal boat accident is now stating that he did not cause the deaths.
The 40-year-old man was out on his boat at a reservoir when he crashed into another boat. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the suspect on his pontoon boat and the second boat idle in the water. It turns out that he did not see the speed boat pulling an inner tube and crashed into them.
The impact immediately killed one boy, age 12, while the second victim, a 19-year-old boy, died later due to massive internal injuries. While the prosecution has built up a strong case against the suspect, the defense is not resting quietly. They claim that although he may have caused the accident, the resulting deaths were not his fault.
