Train Accident Victim Yet to be Identified

Officers in Northern Santa Fe have yet to identify a man struck and killed by a passenger train last week.

The man, believed to be in his fifties, was trespassing on local train tracks when he was struck by the train. He had been walking directly on the train tracks, giving the train operator no time to stop without striking him. When the coroner arrived on the scene, he quickly declared the victim deceased upon immediate investigation.

Although rail traffic was halted during the investigation, the train company resumed operations just 1.5 hours later.

Train accidents are not common, but when they do occur, they usually result in serious or fatal injuries. If you are a victim of a train accident, contact a Los Angeles train accident lawyer from our firm now to receive guidance during this difficult time.
