Truck and Train Collision Still Under Investigation

Officials are still investigating a truck accident that happened last week in Los Angeles County.

Reports indicate that the tanker truck was driving in L.A. when it was struck by a freight train. An emergency crew was dispatched to the scene of the truck accident to clean up 100 gallons of what was reported to be vegetable oil. Although it is non-hazardous material, the crew blocked up nearby storm drains to prevent any from entering the water system.

Initial reports show that nobody was seriously injured in the accident. There is no further information as officers are still investigating possible causes. A spokesman for the railroad company did say that he believes the truck driver tried to beat the train over the tracks, but got caught instead and caused the accident.
