Woman Arrested Following Crash

One woman is now in police custody after she not only crashed her vehicle with a small child inside, but left her baby unattended at home.

The crash happened around 2:30 AM awakening several people. When officers arrived on the scene, they found that the woman had crashed into two parked vehicles and then fled the scene of the accident, leaving her 4-yaer-old daughter unattended in the back seat.

The woman was found shortly after not too far from the accident, huddled in bushes and uncooperative with the responding officers. They quickly determined that she had been searching for her baby who had been left at home unattended.

Luckily, the toddler was not seriously injured in the accident and was soon released to the custody of child protective services. Police believe alcohol was involved.
