Driver in DUI Accident Had 6 Children in Car

A community was outraged to learn about a woman who injured six children in what is now being labeled a drunk driving accident.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 31-year-old woman was driving her SUV east down an avenue when the vehicle flipped over. Inside the car were six children, ranging in age from 10 months to 11 years old. It is still uncertain how many children, if any, were wearing seatbelts or restrained in child seats. However, it has been reported that most of the children were ejected from their seats leading to serious injuries to a 1-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl. The rest of the children and the driver received only minor to moderate wounds.

At this time, it is still uncertain as to what the relationship between the woman and the six children is. However, police commented that the woman will be transported to the county jail once she is released from the hospital.
