| 29 Year Old Construction Worker Killed during Accident |
| Posted By Law Offices of Gerald L. Marcus |
 |
This week, a 29 year old construction worker was killed while on the job. Police say that the construction accident occurred on Interstate 90 near Anaconda.
Following the accident, the county coroner, Jerry Thomas, identified the victim as being Jonathan Hudson. He said that Hudson died after being hit by a Mack truck that was backing up in the construction zone.
At this time, it is believed that neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the accident.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol dispatch, Hudson was working behind a belly dump trailer when a 51 year old woman backed up and ran him over. He was pronounced dead about an hour after the accident at the Community Hospital of Anaconda.

If you were involved in a serious construction accident, one of the things you may be wondering is if you can file a personal injury claim. You may or may not know that by filing a construction accident lawsuit, you may be able to collect compensation for your injuries, property damage, medical expenses, lost wages and also your pain and suffering. However, before you move forward with your claim, you must prove another person's negligence was involved.
When filing construction accident claims, victims must prove 1) other people's negligence caused accidents and 2) other people's negligence led to their suffering injuries, whether physical, emotional or financial. If people can prove these elements, they may be able to move forward with filing a claim and successful claims will result in a settlement or personal injury award.
Anytime victims of construction accidents have decided to take legal action, whether against their employers or general contractors, it is important that they hire a Los Angeles personal injury attorney. | Construction Worker Reaches Settlement for Brain Injury |
| Posted By Law Offices of Gerald L. Marcus |

A Pasadena construction worker who continues to suffer from the effects of a traumatic brain injury has reached a settlement that will provide for his living expenses and cover the cost of his psychological and neurological rehabilitation.
The 65-year-old construction worker was pouring cement when the cement house became clogged. When the plug finally dislodged, the hose whipped out of the man’s hands and struck him on the head. The worker lost consciousness and was taken to a nearby hospital. Doctors diagnosed a cranial bleed, but weeks later the worker needed surgery in order to stop the bleeding. To this day he continues to suffer from the effects of his injury.
An investigation found that the cement pump operator failed to follow safety regulations when encountering a plug and failed to communicate properly with the cement finishers.
The victim’s attorneys plan to file a separate lawsuit against the general contractor for failing to maintain a safe working environment.
