15 Year Old Involved in Bicycle Accident
Posted By Law Offices of Gerald L. Marcus

Tell your children to look both ways when riding their bicycles on the road to avoid winding up like Zachary J. Schultz of North Platte. The 15 year old failed to yield the right of way to a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix as it entered the intersection of Grant and W. Second on Tuesday.

Schultz slammed into the front driver's side panel of Laura D. Bay's Grand Prix, but only received minor cuts on his lower back and left elbow. He was examined by the school nurse but refused any additional services; the nurse advised Schultz to see her again in the pain worsened.

Police officers called Schultz's father to alert him of the accident.

When a child or loved one has been in a bicycle accident, you could be looking at some serious hospital charges that can quickly add up. Don't pay another dime if you were not at fault.  Contact a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer who can help you as soon as possible.

In Southern California, it has been reported that 10 people were injured while riding a roller coaster.  The accident took place on Thursday night while individuals were riding the Pony Express ride at Knott's Berry Farm, which is located in Orange County.

According to the Associated Press, the ride was going uphill, lost momentum and slid backwards.  The carts then crashed into other carts.

While on the ride, 10 people suffered minor back and neck injuries. The age range of the people who were injured was reportedly 12 to 60.

Knott's Berry Farm says that the Pony Express accelerates to 38 miles per hour in under 3 seconds.  The ride opened back in 2008 and never had problems before. The cause of the accident remains unclear and is expected to be investigated.

17 Year Old Girl Suffers Injuries from Bike Accident
Posted By Law Offices of Gerald L. Marcus

Early Wednesday morning, a 17-year-old girl from Tehachapi was injured after being hit by a car while riding her bicycle on Highline Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Harley McDaniel was riding her bicycle on the north side of Highline just before 6:00 AM when she tried to cross the south side of the road, traveling directly into the path of a car being driven by Philip Waterstradt.

Following the bicycle accident, it was reported that McDaniel was recovering from her injuries at Kern Medical Center.

Police say that McDaniel was wearing dark clothing and riding a gray bicycle, which may have contributed to Waterstradt not being able to see her prior to the collision.  McDaniel was not wearing a helmet either.

At this time, police say that alcohol is not a factor in the accident.
