Posted By Law Offices of Gerald L. Marcus

In Orange County, a 9-year-old boy was killed in a motorcycle accident when his father's 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck.

According to Sgt. Les Tyler, Mark Promer's motorcycle struck the passenger side of a turning pickup truck, throwing Promer and his son, Robert Darwin Promer, from the motorcycle.  Both father and son were wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The truck was being driven by 25-year-old George Long Jr of Orange County.  Long was not injured in the accident and Mark Promer's condition is currently unknown.  Sgt. Tyler stated that the police have found that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
